In this post I’ll continue to reveal Lawrence Huber’s ancestry in Butschbach and surrounding areas. Two weeks ago, I identified Lawrence’s paternal great grandfather, Joseph Huber (born 1751). Last week, I confirmed Joseph’s father, Laurenz Huber, was born in 1715.
You may notice I use two different spellings for the name Lawrence. For now, in the context of these posts, I will use Lawrence for the younger Lawrence and Laurenz for his great grandfather. In the German church records, the spelling will vary among Laurenz, Laurents, Laurentius (the Latin version), or Lorenz. Lawrence is the Americanized spelling.
In this post, because I did not do it before, I will tell you who Joseph’s siblings were. In other words, the children of Laurenz Huber and Catharina Heptich.
Joseph, born 11 January 1751 in Giedensbach[1]
Anna Maria, born about 16 January 1752 in Giedensbach[2]
Johann, born about 15 May 1753 in Giedensbach[3]
Mathias, born about 8 December 1754 in Giedensbach[4]
Sebastian, born about 25 December 1755 in Giedensbach[5]
Barbara, born about 18 September 1758 in Giedensbach[6]
Catharina, born 23 August 1761 in Giedensbach[7]
These records do not give the occupation for the father. It would be nice to know that. I will highlight that information if I find it.
